The Beachcomber Cottages on Vilano consist of two raised cottages and two Caribbean-style homes that are located just steps away from the Atlantic Ocean. Truly one of a kind, these cottages become extra special when combined with the amenities provided by The Bayfront Marin House, an award-winning bed and breakfast located in historic downtown St. Augustine.
The four cottages offer seven separate suites—each with their own unique luxuries and first class touches. Rented individually for romantic getaways, or as a group for a special family event, there is nothing else like them on Vilano Beach.
The front cottages—including the Royal Palm, Dunes Suite, and Oceanview Cottage—offer sweeping views of the water, wonderful privacy and a restful retreat from the everyday rush. The third cottage—comprised of the Lagoon Cottage and the Saltwater Suite—offers its own water views, in the form of private pools for each of the two suites in the building, as well as a view of the ocean from the second floor of the Lagoon Cottage suite. The last cottage sits directly on the ocean and houses the Atlantic, Lookout Suites and Sandpiper Suites, all offering great ocean views.
All of the locations offer use of the amenity packages from the Bayfront Marin House, including complimentary downtown St. Augustine parking, as well as the opportunity to enjoy breakfast and happy hour at the historic inn, located on the Matanzas bayfront. Rooms
The Royal Palm
This spectacular guest room offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and Vilano Beach. Treat yourself to a king-sized bed and full kitchen (complete with refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and sink). The Royal Palm features multiple seating areas, including a full-size sleeper sofa for extra guests (charges apply for extra guests). Relax in the Jacuzzi tub or renew in front of the body jets in the marble and tile shower. This suite also includes a private balcony overlooking the sand—the perfect place to end your busy St. Augustine day!
The Dunes Suite
Our lovely Dunes Suite offers an amazing view of the sand and surf from the master bedroom. Wake up to the tranquil sounds of the waves as they break on shore. This suite includes a Queen-sized bed in the master bedroom and a separate room with a single bed (charges apply for extra guests). The small kitchenette allows you to store drinks and the microwave is a handy way to heat delicious snacks after a walk on the beach. A coffee maker and coffee are also included. Take a cup and step outside, because this suite includes access to the first floor patio, comfortably decorated with an outdoor sofa and chair. Ahh, pure serenity!
The Oceanview Cottage
Everyone deserves an escape every now and then. The Oceanview cottage is perfect for a group getaway—or a couple looking for the utmost in privacy. Enjoy Vilano Beach then come back to this two-bedroom house. Each bedroom features a queen-sized bed. There is a large sitting room with a television and amazing view of the ocean. A fully-stocked kitchen gives you the flexibility to eat in if you’d like, or just use it to keep your beer and beverages cold. The bathroom includes a tub / shower combination. The Oceanview Cottage features a beachy theme throughout that will help you relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean.
The Lagoon Cottage
Looking for a couples’ getaway? Traveling with a small group? The Lagoon Cottage is perfect for you. This Caribbean-inspired cottage has all the comforts of home—including a private pool. If you’re traveling with just two people, you’ll have everything you need on the second floor, which includes a powder room, full kitchen, dining area, and a living room that opens to the second story porch. The living room includes comfortable furniture, as well as a large flat screen television. The private master bedroom boasts a king-sized bed, sitting area, and a master bath. Relax after a long day in the tub, or invigorate yourself with full body jets in the shower. Traveling with more than two? The 3rd floor includes another bedroom with a queen sized bed, a small bath with a tiled shower, and a third room with a twin sized bed—perfect for people traveling with a group! (Please note that additional guests are subject to an additional charge). And, of course, there’s the private saltwater pool—a gorgeous blue lagoon complete with a waterfall to relax you and cool you off. Lounge by the pool, relax on the second floor deck, or nap in the comfortable bedrooms—the lagoon cottage is the perfect choice, whether you’re traveling with just the two of you, or with a group up to 5. The Lagoon Cottage includes free wifi, beach chairs and umbrellas. Guests are invited to breakfast and happy hour at the Bayfront Marin House, and will have access to reserved parking space in the inn’s downtown parking lot. Please note your private pool is heated to approximately 83 degrees as long as the weather outside is at least 65 degrees.
The Saltwater Suite
Looking for a secluded getaway to celebrate a special occasion? The Saltwater Suite offers first class amenities and luxuries, sure to provide special memories of your stay in St. Augustine. As you enter the suite, you’ll see a private garden and plunge pool—reserved for just the two of you. Imagine the romance of an evening swim, watching the sun set and the moon rise from your private pool. When you want to dry off, your suite offers a queen-sized bed, small kitchenette area (including a coffee maker, mini fridge, and microwave), and a luxurious tiled bathroom with an invigorating shower, complete with body jets and rainwater showerhead. Like all of our suites, you’ll enjoy a flat screen television, free wifi, an invitation to breakfast and happy hour at the Bayfront Marin House, and access to reserved parking in our downtown parking area. The Atlantic Suite
This oceanfront, apartment-sized suite offers easy beach access via a wooden boardwalk through the dunes, and wonderful comfort inside. The nautical-themed second floor includes a full kitchen, bedroom with king-sized bed, tub/shower combination, and a large living/dining space lined with bookshelves filled with beachy finds and a queen sleeper sofa. Enjoy the amazing views of the ocean from inside or outside on your private porch with porch swing and outdoor sofa. On-site laundry makes for easy packing.
The Lookout Suite
Fall asleep to the sound of waves crashing on the shore as you enjoy a tranquil getaway in our third floor Lookout Suite. This large room includes a king-sized bed, small seating area, 48-inch Smart TV, walk-in shower and separate soaking tub. It opens to a lovely private deck that offers spectacular views of the ocean. The Sandpiper Cottage
This welcoming, first floor suite offers stunning design details with easy access to Vilano beach. A stone deck is outfitted with two plush outdoor chairs, just steps from a pier that leads directly to the sand. The fun doesn’t end with the surf and the beach. Step into this rustic yet elegant space and you’ll feel immediately at home: stretch out in the comfy leather wing chairs, and watch a movie on your large, 55” television. The unique bathroom boasts a cedar barn door, vessel sink, and rain showerhead for a luxurious spa experience. A small kitchenette and dining area offers you all the amenities you’ll need for a stay—including a kuerig coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge.
